Are the courses associated with Yale University?

Your instructor will be a current or recent Yale University graduate student, and Yale Professor Teresa Chahine serves as an Advisor.

However, courses through International Learning Ventures are not affiliated with any degree-granting institutions.

Who can enroll in the courses?

Anyone who is seeking project-based learning with a study abroad component.

We welcome:

  • Working professionals
  • Anyone exploring entrepreneurship
  • Workers who are exploring pivots to higher-paying jobs
  • Students who are currently enrolled in university
  • And other life-long learners!

When do the courses take place?

You can start whenever works for you, subject to instructor availability.

The educational trip takes place after the initial sessions, and you can accomodate your international travel according to your own schedule.

Where can I travel?

You can travel to any country as long as you meet its entry requirements.

A typical project requires travel to a single country. However, projects can take place in multiple countries.

You are encouraged to select countries where you have previous ties (family, business relationships, history of travel, etc.).

How long are the educational trips?

Your Lead Instructor will work with you to tailor a project, which can be done in as little as one day.

A typical project will require one week of international travel, but projects can extend up to four weeks.

Do you provide any logistical support for international travel?

No, students must make all travel arrangements on their own.

Are the courses in-person or online?

We offer online courses to allow anyone in the U.S. to enroll.

Can I get college credit for the course?

No. International Learning Ventures does not offer undergraduate or graduate credit for the course. 

You may be able to petition your college or university to recognize the hours spent in the program and issue academic credit. To pursue this option, let us know and check with your college or university’s Registrar's Office.

What is the cost? What is included? Are scholarships available?

$599. The course fee is typically $949, but the current batch of students will get over 35% off.

The course fee covers instruction, administrative fees, and support in completing government paperwork, if needed.

The course fee does not cover any travel-related costs.

No scholarships are available at this time, but students can receive $100 off listed price if they enroll with one other student, or $150 off they enroll with two or more other students. (Save by having your friends or family members join you!). Discount not available with any other promotions.
