FAQs
What does the course entail?
The course entails asynchronous learning modules created by a Yale University professor along with an international project assignment, which you complete during and after your travel abroad.
When do the courses take place?
You can start whenever works for you. However, your travel assignment must be at least 5 months after you begin the course, so that you have time to prepare for your travel and international project.
The educational trip takes place after the initial sessions, and you can accomodate your international travel according to your own schedule.
Where can I travel?
You can travel to any country as long as you meet its entry requirements.
A typical project requires travel to a single country. However, projects can take place in multiple countries.
You are encouraged to select countries where you have previous ties (family, business relationships, history of travel, etc.). Your application should only include countries where you will conduct research for your course project.
How long are the educational trips?
Your Lead Instructor will work with you to tailor a project, which can be done in as little as one day of international travel.
A typical project will require one to three weeks of international travel, but projects can extend up to a year.
Are the courses in-person or online?
